This was the first time we encountered a homeless husband and wife team on the streets of New York City.
The husband Scott sat on an opposite corner of his wife Vicky and told us about his wife and that it was her birthday today. They were both homeless and Vicky was 3 months pregnant. We prayed for her and she was instantly healed of scoliosis but her biggest pain was emotionally that her daughter was not with her.
We came back later at the end of the day and discovered that Vicky also had sciatica in her back and carpel tunnel in both her hands. It seemed like she was already so grateful that she was healed from scoliosis that she did not want to ask for her other needs. We prayed for each and she was instantly healed from both. We were also able to bless them financially and with some clothing.
It takes so little to minister to a homeless person. But it can mean so much to them. Just a kind word letting them know that someone cares, can lift their spirit. Praying for them lets them know that Jesus loves them and has not abandoned them.
