The Fall of the Catholic Church

Petra in Jordan

This was a response to John, a devout RC (Roman Catholic) who argued that even though he disagreed with what the Vatican was doing, the mother RC church was the only authentic church and all else are lost.

He was particularly offended by reader Richard commenting on his postings who argued against his position and stated that Jesus did not come to setup a new religion but for all to have direct access to God through Him alone without the need of a religious institution as a mediator in between.

I was a third party to the conversation.  The names have been changed to protect their identity.  This was my rebuttal:

Humor – Why It Pays To Study Your Bible

Most believers think that they know what the bible says.  After all, their pastor told them so, right?  Very few will actually take the time and the effort to seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance to interpret the original and actual message in the scripture for themselves.

Try the free Greek/Hebrew interlinear Bible software at scripture4all.org to dig into the original texts and see for yourself.

Here’s a funny little anecdote to prove the point…     Enjoy! Continue reading Humor – Why It Pays To Study Your Bible

Questions for Catholics

catholicHaving been born a Roman Catholic, raised by a father who had studied to be a Jesuit priest but did not complete his studies, and having studied Catholicism in depth before coming to the realization that RC doctrine did not line up with scripture and even contradicted it, I “came out of her” as per Revelations 18:4.

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.  Revelation 18:4

My questions for most Catholics I minister to today is simply this:

When you die as a Catholic, where will you go?   Continue reading Questions for Catholics

Who Wants To Go To Purgatory?

Biblical Christians believe that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord as Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:8.  Therefor when we die in Christ, having been born again, confessed and repented of our sins, the next face we will see is that of Jesus, our Lord and our Savior.

The most basic tenet of the Christian faith is that Jesus paid the price for our sins by the shedding of His perfect, sinless blood on the cross as the Son of God, hereby being the sacrificial lamb that takes away the sins of the world.  This is what John the Baptist by the Holy Spirit confirmed when he saw Jesus coming to him.

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.  John 1:29

Paul confirms that only the shedding of blood can remit sins.  Therefore the only efficacy for the remission of sin is blood and nothing else.   Continue reading Who Wants To Go To Purgatory?

Instantly Healed, Saved and Baptized

It was a rainy overcast Saturday morning.  All night it had rained, even with lightning and thunderstorms early in the morning.  But we had scheduled an outing to the Meadowlands Flea Market and I was determined to go.

umbrella-dancingintherainOn the way it started pouring buckets.  I commanded the rain to stop by the time I got there.  It was relentless and actually started coming down even heavier.  I looked up and said “That’s okay.  I’ll give you some more time to do what you want as long as you stop by the time I get there.”

As I drove onto the parking lot of the flea market, the rain had died down to a drizzle.  Thank you, Lord!  Well, I was here but not many people were.  Even the vendors were only a handful compared to how many there usually are.  Well, at least I’m here, I thought to myself, Lord, the rest is up to you.   Continue reading Instantly Healed, Saved and Baptized

Who Changed The Ten Commandments?

moses-10-commandments“Somebody changed the Ten Commandments?  Impossible!”

This might be your first reaction if you did not know this yet.  But, yes, someone, or I should say, some well known, world renowned, religious institution actually dared to change the Ten Commandments.  I won’t keep you in suspense.  It was the Roman Catholic church.   Continue reading Who Changed The Ten Commandments?
