We were at the Goodwill Rescue Mission in Newark and had just concluded our ministry session.  Many souls came to the Lord that night and we had a plentiful harvest.

I was cleaning up my music gear and started heading to the side door exit when I noticed a man walking noticeably crooked heading towards the backdoor of the room.  He was literally leaning to the right as he walked.

“Hey, that’s not right!” I thought to myself.  It reminded me of that part in the Lord’s prayer where Jesus says, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”  Nobody in heaven is walking crooked like that!  So why should anybody on earth be walking this way while there are believers around?  

I put my gear down and caught up to him and asked him what happened and why he was walking crooked.  “Oh, I have scoliosis.” He replied, almost shrugging it off like, ‘oh, it’s just something I’ve gotta live with’.  I offered if I could pray for him and he accepted.

So I laid my hand on his back and commanded it to be healed in Jesus name and to straighten out and line up with the word of God.  “Now check it out.  Do what you could not do before.” I coached him.  He started moving his back around like he was doing the twist.

“Hey, I don’t feel any pain anymore.” he said surprised.  He was walking a lot better but he was still walking a bit funny.  So I put my hand on his back again and commanded it to obey the word that was spoken and to fully straighten out in Jesus name.

“Now touch your toes.” I continued to instruct him.  He went down and came back up almost completely straight.  “Now keep walking around and twisting your back.” I continued to instruct him.  After going around in a few wide circles he said excitedly, “Hey, I’m walking straight!” as he kept walking around, almost strutting like, ‘hey, look at me, I’m walking straight up!’  He starting thanking me and I pointed him right to Jesus to thank Him which he promptly did.

“Now come with me and share what just happened to you with this gentleman.”  I said as I walked him over to one of the ministry leaders.  The word says that we shall overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony so I wanted him to share his testimony with someone right away and confirm his own healing.

And now I am sharing it with you!
