First of all, you must believe that you can be healed because of the price that Jesus paid by His stripes at the whipping post.

Just as it is forever settled that it is absolutely God’s will that none should perish because He sent His only Son that whosoever should believe in Him should not perish but have everlasting life because Jesus paid the price at the cross for the forgiveness of our sins, likewise it is forever settled that it is absolutely God’s will that none should be sick because He sent His only Son that whosoever should believe that by His stripes we are healed should not be sick because Jesus paid the price in His broken body at the whipping post for the healing of our bodies and that He is entitled to receive that which He has paid the price for in full.

There are so many unbelieving “believers”, as Smith Wigglesworth called them, that claim to believe in salvation by faith, but are unwilling to believe in healing by the same faith.  

Whether it is their doctrine of unbelief they were raised with, or the fact that they have sin in their life, convicting their conscious, that may be unworthy of being healed, or their wrong belief that God is using this to get their attention to try to teach them something, which actually blames God for putting this sickness on them instead of blaming the enemy who is the real culprit, or that they are so worldly minded and intimidated by modern day medicine that they live in continuous fear that their illness will overtake them and have trouble renewing their mind and the spirit of their mind, constantly allowing themselves to be bombarded, distracted, indoctrinated and misled by what the world is throwing at them, they simply do not believe it to be possible that God would heal them.

Here is a bold statement:

All pain, sickness and disease, without exception, is a direct attack from the enemy (John 10:10) and none of these so called “facts” actually matter when it comes to obtaining healing for your body.

Regardless of any of the above, you can still be healed if you will not let these obstacles hinder you from receiving your healing which Jesus has already secured and paid for in full.  Our perfect example is Jesus.  Just look at how Jesus healed them first, and only once they were healed, would He then tell them “Go and sin no more.”  Never once was it the other way around.

With Jesus it is always first things first.  He would always first recognize that they were under attack and being oppressed by the enemy.  Then He would destroy the works of the enemy and set them free.  There were very few that He would tell them not to sin anymore afterwards.  Scripture only records two such incidents: the impotent man at the pool of Bethesda and the woman caught in adultery.  Both were delivered by Jesus’ love, mercy and grace.  Not that sin is not important.  It is.  But the goodness of God leads men to repentance (Romans 2:4).  Jesus proved this over and over and still proves it today.

Because of what He did, God has given Jesus a name which is above every other name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow.

Because Jesus humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.   Philippians 2:8-11

Jesus name alone, through faith in His name, is powerful enough for your healing and is all you need to be healed and set free no matter what your circumstances are.

Know this, that:

A. The truth of the word overrides the facts of the flesh.  Every single time.  All the time.
B. You must apply it by your faith, or, another believer must apply it by their faith and minister it to you.

I don’t care how bad or how hopeless your situation is or looks or appears to be, God’s word prevails through the actions in faith of the believer.

The spiritual always precedes the natural.  Even in what we call the real world, you do not build a house before conceiving the plan to do so.  You think, imagine and speak it into being before it is.  You talk about it, you sketch a plan out to design it, you hire an architect to draw up plans and blueprints, you arrange for financing to pay for it, you apply for permits to be approved for it, and after spending much mental, emotional and physical energy, you hire a builder to start building it from your original concept until it finally materializes and comes into being.

The word tells us that God called those things that be not as though they were.  This is how He created all things.

(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.  Romans 4:17 

Jesus, as the son of man, after laying aside His glory and taking on our frail humanity, used the power of the Holy Spirit to speak into being those things that were not.  Every time somebody came to Him, asking to be healed, He spoke their healing into existence. “I am willing.  Be healed.”, “Receive your sight.”, “Rise up and walk.”, “Your servant is healed.”, “Lazarus, come forth!”.  This is the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, that we too have access to through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which quickens our mortal bodies (Romans 8:11).

Understand that your illness is not about you.  Oh sure, it affects you personally, but it is the enemy who is wreaking as much havoc as he can, seeking whom he may devour.  He is on the warpath and leaving as big a trail of destruction in his wake as he is able before his time runs out.  You are merely a pawn and a tool for him to strike back at the One who caused his humiliation and put him to an open shame, defeating him by His resurrection.  He is merely holding you hostage, attempting to prove to you that he is more powerful in making and keeping you sick than God is in making you whole.  Remember that he said “I will place my throne above God’s throne.” and was soundly defeated.  The question is whether you will believe him or will you believe God.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 1 Peter 5:8-10

These verses refer to persecution and not to sickness but they put forth the same principle: to resist the adversary steadfast in the faith.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.  James 4:7

So let me ask you this: why are you allowing the enemy to make and keep you sick?  Why are you giving in to him and not resisting him steadfast in the faith?  If you say that this is not so, then let me ask you a few more questions:

• Why are you confessing and claiming ownership of the illness that is plaguing you by confessing it to be yours, i.e. my cancer, my back pain, my arthritis, etc.?  Did you create it?  Did you cause it to happen?  Did you actually bring it into existence?  Do you own it?  Do you want to keep it or get rid of it?
• Why are you running to doctors in fear and panic, believing their evil reports when they don’t even know you and are only practicing on you, rather than believing the report of the Lord, Who knows you intimately, inside and out, which He has given to you in black and white and printed it right in your very own bible, which is the word of God, that by His stripes you are healed?  Who’s report will you believe?
• Why are you allowing them to defile your holy temple with cutting, burning and poisoning, surrendering yourself to the destruction of your temple which is holy unto the Lord?
• Why are you volunteering to willingly swallow pharmaceuticals that are poisonous to your body and what the bible refers to as “pharmakeia”, which literally translated means “witchcraft”, that only mask and suppress the symptoms, do not address the cause and do not cure anything?  The reason that they suppress the symptoms is so that you will quit panicking in fear and give your body a chance to repair itself.
• Why are you paying for your healing when Jesus already paid for it in full?
• Worst of all, why are you making excuses for your healing, seeking to blame God for your condition and lack of healing rather than taking ownership of, and responsibility for your own healing, just like you are solely responsible for your own salvation?

He did all the work but you must apply it to yourself by faith.  Your ransom has already been paid in full by Jesus, Who gave Himself a ransom for all, and therefore you are no longer subject to being held hostage.  The chains are broken.  The cell door is open.  But you must choose to escape this prison and your captor and decide once and for all that he has no hold over you anymore.

Since Jesus literally paid the price for all healing in full with the breaking of His body by His stripes, God has now delegated the act and responsibility of healing to His church, meaning you, because we, His disciples, are the church or literally, the “out called”.  Jesus already did His part.  Now you must do your part.  He is not going to do it again no matter how much you beg and plead with Him.  He has already paid the price once for all and said “It is finished.”

The word tells us the “The just shall live by faith.”, not by begging, not by pleading, but by faith in the name of Jesus.  Just as Jesus has fulfilled and therewith abolished the Old Covenant (Ephesians 2:15), replacing it with a New Covenant, established in His blood, so has God abolished the Old Covenant method of begging and pleading for healing and replaced it with the New Covenant method of faith in the name of Jesus, confirming your faith in His finished work of breaking His body and taking the stripes at the whipping post.  Once your faith is applied, according to your faith, the Holy Spirit, the “parakletos”, or “helper alongside”, performs the operation.

If anyone was healed by what you may believe was because of praying to God (read: begging and pleading with God), not so.  It was either your faith or their faith in Jesus name and it’s healing power, standing on the word, that got the job done.  And the Holy Spirit performed the operation.

Jesus said in Matthew 9:29, “According to your faith be it unto you.”, after the blind men came begging for Him to have mercy on them.  He asked them “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”  Notice that He got them to agree with Him for their faith before He had even done anything.  Only then did He tell them that it be done unto them according to their faith.  He didn’t even pray for them.  Imagine that.

The same thing happened with the woman who had an issue of blood for 12 years.  She said to herself, not to God or to Jesus, but to herself:

“For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole”  Mark 5:21

When she confessed to Jesus what had happened, He told her:

But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.  Mark 5:22

Who’s faith made her whole?  Who determined the time of her healing?  Who settled it in her mind that this would happen?  Jesus had nothing to do with her obtaining her healing from Him.  She did not beg or plead with God or with Jesus at all.  It was her faith that did the job and secured her healing to herself.  She boldly took it from Him in total faith.

This is the secret to accomplishing your healing or any other thing you desire to receive.  You must believe that you have already received that which you ask for and then you shall have it.  In other words, you are already healed, and were healed 2,000 years ago when Jesus paid the price for it, but will you agree and believe that you have received it?

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. Matthew 21:22

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:24

If you are a believer, then you are a son or a daughter of the most high God, a direct heir of God and a fellow heir with Jesus Christ.  All things that are His, are yours.  Anything that gets in the way of you walking in your inheritance, which includes the wholeness of your body, is the enemy operating as a demon (or multiple demons), hindering you from accessing and operating in your inheritance and must be removed.  Not by God, but by you.  Jesus, as the son of man, did not ask God to do any of the mighty works He did but instead did them Himself by operating in the power which He was delegated by God when He was baptized in the Holy Spirit, the exact same power which is delegated to us today.  How else should He have been our example to follow to do the same works that He did?

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.  John 14:12

Most people speak (read: complain) to God about their problem.  Stop it!  Start speaking to the problem by the authority you have in Jesus name and command it to go.  Take authority and tell it to go in Jesus name.  Several times Jesus told us to speak to the mountain for us to make it move.

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:23-24

Step By Step Instructions:

You can start by thanking Jesus and confirming your faith in His provision.  Be sure to make these your own words.  This is not a formula.  Formulas don’t work.  It is your connection with Jesus that works.  He is the vine and you are the branch.

“Thank You, Jesus, for Your provision that You paid for at the whipping post with the stripes on Your back.  Because You paid full price, You deserve my full healing.  Thank you that right now, You are going to prove this to me by setting me free of all pain, sickness and disease by my faith in Your name.”

If it does not have name, then cast out the spirit of infirmity.  If it has a name, then cast out that spirit of infirmity by its name, like this:

“You foul spirit of (for example: cancer, diabetes, arthritis, etc.), your name is not above the name of Jesus and I command you to bow your knee right now and go in Jesus name.  Get out and do not return!  You have no authority to be here and I cast you out NOW!  (Yes, you can yell at it just like at a dog!)”

Be sure to command any and all pain to leave your body, like this:

“All pain, I command you leave NOW in Jesus name and do not return!  Jesus already bore all my pain so I don’t have to.  Be gone!”

Next, command your body to be healed in Jesus name, like this:

“Body (or specific part, i.e. knee, foot hip, etc.), I command you be healed in Jesus name.  Line up with the word of God.  You work.  You function properly as you were designed to.  I speak the life of Jesus into you.  Be completely restored and made whole!  So be it, in Jesus name.”

You can add whatever specifics you wish to be healed of.  Tell your body what you want it to do.  Remember that you are not your body.  You are spirit, you have a soul and you live in a body.  Therefore, just like you steer your car, tell your kids what to do, or place your order for dinner, you can speak to your body and command it to do what you want it to do and it must obey you because you are invoking the name of Jesus and your faith in His name.

Important!

Now, here is one of the most important aspects of healing.  Once you have prayed and commanded your body to be healed, you must start to act on it by doing those things that you could not do before, in complete faith and confidence that you are already healed.  If you had pain in your foot, start walking on it, putting full weight on it as if you were already healed and you will be.  If your back was in pain, start moving it around as if it is already healed and it will be.  Do some stretching exercises, touch your toes, act on it and it will be.

It’s called ‘the working of miracles’ and it is the same principle Peter and John employed with the lame man.  They commanded him to rise up and walk in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, but strength did not return to his feet and ankles until they pulled him up and made him to walk.  Then immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength and he took off walking and leaping and praising God.  Had the disciples not pulled him up or had he refused to get up, pulled his hand back and just sat there, nothing may have happened because they would not have operated from faith that is was already done.  Acting in faith is the key that unlocks and activates the healing power to flow!

Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. Acts 3:6-8

If it is something you cannot see or feel, even better, because the false symptoms will not keep reminding you and try to deceive you into believing that you were not healed and that it is still there.  You can simply stand on the word and not let any other thought try to dissuade you or convince you otherwise.

Be persistent and don’t give up no matter what the enemy whispers in your ear.  He does not want you to know or realize the power that you have by mere faith in the name of Jesus.  Don’t take no for an answer.  Push on through until you see results.  Repeat as often as necessary until you see something happen.  Usually you will notice an immediate improvement.  It is then that you must realize that if you can move it an inch, you can move it all the way.  The fact is…the mountain moved!

Remember that you are dealing with rebellious devils that want to keep you oppressed, in bondage and at all cost, do not want you to come to know your freedom and power in Jesus.  They are lawless criminals that have no right but come to kill, steal and destroy.  Jesus gave you the power in His name to cast them out as a sign of being a believer.

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Mark 16:17-18

Even if you don’t see it or feel it right away or if you still experience every symptom you had before.  Once you settle it, not God, nor Jesus, nor your doctor, or your pastor, it is done!  Let your faith arise.  Stand on the word.  You must continue to act on it and speak those things that be not as though they were.  Start thanking and praising God that you are healed.  Look at it this way; what if you were to notice that you are healed next week?  Would you then all of a sudden start to thank and praise Him for your healing?  By doing it now, you are thanking and praising Him ahead of your healing and bringing it about in your body, speaking it into existence.  He inhabits our praises.  The sooner you do this, the sooner you will manifest your complete healing.

“Thank you, Jesus, for healing me.  By Your stripes I am healed.  I believe I have received it and I now have it.  Thank you, Lord Jesus!  (Keep praising Him in your own way.)”

Warning!  

No doubt is allowed at all.  So if you have prayed and have doubted at the same time, then this is what the word calls being double minded.  For instance; if you prayed on a wait-and-see basis, thinking “Well, I don’t know if this will work, but I’ll give it a try.”, or even believed that you were healed but kept in your mind “If this doesn’t work, well then I can always go to the doctor.”, then you are wavering.  Faith and doubt, which is created by fear, cannot coexist in the same mind.  It is either one or the other.

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1:6-8

Doubt and fear is not faith.  Logic and reason are the enemies of belief and faith.  The carnal mind is enmity against God.  Faith pleases God.  The just shall live by faith.

Today, under the New Covenant, there are only 3 types of healing: 1. Your own faith for healing yourself, 2. Other’s faith for healing you and, 3. Your faith for healing others.  The best way for you to obtain healing for yourself is to receive it directly from God.  Why?  Because if you are attacked again, you will know how to beat it every time.  The enemy then realizes that he is wasting his time and will leave you alone to find an easier target to terrorize.  Remember that they are seeking rest, not extra work because their works are continuously being destroyed.

No, once defeated, it does not come back.  If however, you experience similar symptoms again, it is always a new attack from the enemy trying to deceive you into believing you were not healed in the first place and that you still have your illness.  Every new attack from the enemy must be repelled until it is defeated.  If you obtain healing through a believer by the laying on of hands, it may give you temporary relief, but what are you going to do if and when you are attacked again?  You need to learn how to continuously walk in faith for divine health.  This is done by renewing your mind and renewing the spirit of your mind, living out your faith every day.

Here are the 3 types of faith for healing spelled out with scripture references.  Study these out and internalize them to renew your mind and the spirit of your mind to these realities to overcome the world and the enemy.

3 Types of Faith for Healing

1. Your own faith for healing yourself:
   ○ Receive direct from God – Romans 8:2,11, Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:16-17, 1 Peter 2:24, Gal 3:13
   ○ Laying hands on yourself – Mark 16:17-18
   ○ Command your body to be healed – Romans 4:17, Isaiah 45:11
   ○ Permit the Holy Spirit to permeate your flesh – Romans 8:11
   ○ Stand on the Word – Romans: 8:2,11, Psalm 103:1-6, Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:16-17, 1 Peter 2:24
   ○ Get fed up – Psalm 91:2-3, 10
   ○ Settle it – Romans 8:2, 1 Peter 2:24
   ○ Speak it into being – Romans 4:17
   ○ Discerning His body broken for you, when taking communion – 1 Corinthians 11:29
2. Other’s faith for healing you:
   ○ Command – James 5:16, John 9:7, Isaiah 45:11
   ○ Laying on of hands – Mark 16:17-18
   ○ Obey their command – John 9:7
   ○ Infusion of prayer cloth, business card, etc – Acts 19:12
   ○ Stand together in agreement – Matthew 18:19
3. Your faith for healing others:
   ○ Laying on of hands – Mark 16:17-18, John 14:12
   ○ Giving a command – James 5:16, John 14:12, John 9:7, Isaiah 45:11
   ○ By intention – John 14:12, Mark 16:18
   ○ Infusion of prayer cloth, business card, etc. – Acts 19:12
   ○ Stand together in agreement – Matthew 18:19

Disclaimer

Please note that we cannot and will not tell you that you cannot or should not go to a doctor or take medication.  That is your responsibility, not mine.  If you are in fear or doubt then absolutely you should seek professional medical assistance because your faith is mixed with fear and it will not accomplish anything.  Go to the doctor and take their medication and live to fight another day until you can develop and stand in your own faith.  This will take the renewing of your mind and the renewing of the spirit of your mind to accomplish to completion and victory.  Don’t be discouraged.  Even Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and with man.  Just have faith that Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are all on your side.  They want you healed as much as you do.  But it must be according to your faith so be it unto you.  What have you done so far in exercising your faith that even comes close to what they have already done to secure and pay for healing for you?

When you have done all you can, then settle it once and for all and stand!

¹³ Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.¹⁴ Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; ¹⁵ And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; ¹⁶ Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. ¹⁷ And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: ¹⁸ Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; – Ephesians 6:13-18
