We were at the flea market when we saw a man pushing his wife in a wheelchair.  She wore the traditional hijab headgear that indicated that they were Muslim.

I approached the husband and told him I noticed his wife’s wheelchair and that I was a minister and asked him if I could pray for his wife.  He did not answer.  So I asked him if he spoke English.

“Oh, I speak English alright but we are Muslim.”  He finally responded.  I opened my arms wide and proclaimed “But Jesus is in the Qur’an.”  

With that the woman instantly piped up excitedly, “I’ve always said that Jesus is in the Qur’an.  I’ve always been telling people that Jesus is in the Qur’an!”

So I turned to her and asked her “So may I pray for you in Jesus name?”  “Yes, you may!”  She confirmed.  When I asked her what the condition was, she said she had terrible back pain.

“May I place my hand on your back?” I asked politely.  “Yes, of course.” she responded as she leaned forward.  I prayed and commanded the pain to go and her back to be healed in Jesus name and told her to do what she could not do before.

She twisted her back, back and forth in her seat and said that she could not find any pain.  She was instantly healed.  “That’s because Jesus just healed you!” I proclaimed loudly for all to hear.

Her husband just stood there perplexed at what was happening.  He did not utter a single word.  I had a gospel of John with me and handed it to her while saying, ” I have a gift for you.  It is a copy of the Injeel.”  This is the Arabic word for gospel and what the Qur’an calls it too.  “Now you can read all about Isa who just healed you.” I continued.  The Qur’an calls Jesus, Isa.

She gladly accepted it and the husband quickly pushed her wheelchair away as she was saying thank you.

They met Jesus face to face that day and their lives will never be the same.
