Afraid? Anxious? Confused? Depressed?
These are all lies from the enemy. Perfect love casts out all fear.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18
You must be doing something righteous to be upsetting and scaring the enemy out of his skin.
Did you just make a new commitment to God? Are you reaching out and ministering to others. Have you consecrated yourself to living a more holy life? Are you getting ready to do something big for the kingdom? Are you becoming more powerful in your spiritual walk? Are you stirring things up in the spirit world that could wreak havoc in the kingdom of darkness that he is now desperately trying to prevent you from and thwart your efforts which could destroy his works?
Aah, now you see what is causing all of this, don’t you? As the old saying goes: there is no smoke without fire!
You see, it is not you who is fearful or confused, it is the demon spirit attacking you who is scared to death of losing you or what you are attempting to do and is anxiously trying to cripple you by putting his own fears and his confusion on to you. They are not your feelings but his. And he is trying to transfer them to you.
You don’t need a lot of prayer to overcome this since the victory is already won. You just need to put on your armor and attack the enemy with the sword of the spirit which is the word of God…which is Jesus…and His word.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Ephesians 6:17
This is a formidable and powerful weapon the Lord has given us. Even when Jesus was being attacked by Satan himself, He used the word of God against him by saying: “It is written…” and defeated him all three times. Satan could not stand against the word of God and ran off with his tail tucked between his legs, waiting for a more opportune time.
You are not standing all alone in this just as Jesus was not standing all alone. He, the Father and the Holy Spirit are all right there standing with you, as well as, a great cloud of witnesses to cheer you on.
You already have the victory in Jesus. But Jesus said: “You shall have whatsoever you say.”
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark 11:23
Even God the Father Himself spoke those things that be not as though they were.
(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Romans 4:17
What are you speaking: victory or defeat? Who is the author of confusion? Are you accepting the enemy’s thoughts or are you taking them captive and rejecting them?
Now take out your sword and start attacking him by speaking forcefully from your gut as loud as you can:
“I am a son of God. How dare you come against me? In the name of Jesus I cast you out right now! Get out and return no more! It is written, resist the devil and he will flee from you. Now you foul devil, bow your knee to the word of God and to the name of Jesus right now and start fleeing before I change my mind and cast you into the pit! Get out! It is written, for God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). It is written, the law of the spirit of the life in Christ Jesus frees me from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2). Therefore I am free in Jesus and nothing will ever change that.”
Now begin to praise Him and thank Him for all His love and His blessings. Let His peace permeate every fiber of your being and rule and dominate victoriously in your heart.
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Colossians 3:15
He inhabits the praises of His people.
As soon as you have done this, you should immediately start to feel better.
You are not a thermometer but a thermostat. When you walk into a cold room, you first walk over to the thermostat and set the temperature to where you want it to be. Does it instantly get to that temperature? No, it takes a little while, but eventually you will notice the change as the room gets warmer.
Same in your life. You set your thermostat to the temperature you want it to be in your spiritual life by speaking it into being and once you get going, before you realize it, the temperature has changed. And keep doing this every time you feel it is getting a bit cold.
All your life is in the power of your tongue.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Proverbs 18:21

Excellent and encouraging article which correctly instructs that anxiety and fear are not from God and are not something that has to dominate us. We have the nature of Christ – it is He who dwells in us, the hope of glory. Therefore, we have His peace and love. Anxiety and worry are lies from the enemy because, as the author so wonderfully said, perfect love casts out all fear.
