Taste and Smell Restored

Smell

On July 2, 2023 Marilyn contacted me with the following healing request:

My sense of smell is lost due to a recent attack from COVID. I believe John 10:10 that the thief has stolen and destroyed it, but Jesus has come that I may have life to the full. Could someone please agree with me and command my sense of smell to be fully restored in Jesus name?
Thank you,
Marilyn

I called her and prayed with her over the phone and sent her this follow up email:

Hi Marilyn,

Glad we connected.

When we prayed the life of Jesus went into you and the power of the Holy Spirit is doing His operation in you.

Be sure to keep doing what you could not do before and keep doing it until all symptoms are gone.  Just keep thanking and praising Jesus that by His stripes you were healed.

Read Mark 11:23-24.

She emailed me back:
Dear Franciscus,

Thank you for calling me and praying with me.  I am inexperienced in my application of the Word of Jesus Christ to accomplish physical healing, so I appreciate you teaming up with me and adding your belief to mine.  I tell you the good truth that my sense of smell and taste has returned about 50% since yesterday.  Yes, I will keep thanking and praising Jesus. I will not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.  I love that God says, "Let light shine out of darkness," and then it does (2 Corin 4:6).  Having my sense of smell stolen is experiencing a type of darkness, and I'm excited that the light from the cross of Jesus Christ is shining through it, right now, restoring it.

Thank you for all of the links for further support and learning.  Some of them I have looked at already, and I look forward to exploring the rest!  I hope to be able to heal others by faith in and administering the Word of Christ.  I know of so many people who have physical challenges.  Is it okay for a female to do healing work?  So far, I am only aware of male ministers who do this, and I'm not familiar with any females in the Bible who went out healing the sick.

In the grace and love of God,

Marilyn
My response:
Praise Jesus!  I expect a great report of full restoration of your smell and taste and expect nothing less.

Yes, of course it is okay for a woman to minister healing.  We are neither male nor female in Christ but all ministers.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28 (KJV)

If you are a believer, then healing is one of the signs that follow you as a believer.

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Mark 16:17-18 (KJV)

Besides, Jesus commanded those who believe in Him to do the same works He did.

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who is believing in Me, the works that I do—that one will also do, and greater than these he will do, because I go on to My Father; John 14:12 (LSV)

We have many women on our team who minister healing to people they meet on the street, probably more so than men.

So go to it!

Franciscus

Her response back:

Hello Franciscus,

My smell and taste are restored!  I have much gratitude for Jesus!  And, thank you for being willing to support me.

I appreciate the Bible verses you sent me in answer to my question about women ministering healing.  They were exactly what I needed to hear, and I have no doubt about it now.

I enjoy perusing your website with the knowledge and wisdom you share supported by personal testimonies.

May God bless you richly,

Marilyn

My reply…

Praise the Lord! He is so good. May I share your testimony on my website to encourage others?

Her reply and testimony:

I'm sorry for taking this long to reply.  Here is my testimony you can post on your website:

In July 2023, I became sick with Covid.  After a few days, I felt much better, but I lost my sense of smell and taste completely.  I was upset and annoyed that Covid took this from me, and I wasn't sure I would get it back without some permanent damage.  I am the primary cook in the home, and I cook for other families.  I use my sense of taste to help me get my recipes just right. I contacted Franciscus by email, and he called me and prayed for my smell and taste to return.  It began returning ever so slowly.  Franciscus would check up on me by email, and I'd tell him of my progress.  He never doubted that I wouldn't get 100% restoration, and he quoted God's Word that supplied his belief.  In about 2 weeks, I did receive 100% restoration.  Thank you, Lord!  But, I wasn't as elated about the restoration as I was about the revelations God brought me during those two weeks.  One is in regard to overeating.  I succumb to glutinous tendencies for physical pleasure and emotional comfort, and during these two weeks, eating didn't provide any taste pleasure or comfort at all.  In fact, when I felt an urge for emotional comfort and the taste of food couldn't subdue it, the emotional distress just evaporated.  I went on to do something else.  When my taste returned, the urge returned as well.  I now know to ask myself, "If you couldn't taste this food, would you eat it right now?"  Covid blocked my sense of taste, but God gave me discernment between healthy eating vs. glutinous eating so that I can choose when to and not to eat since "sin is crouching at my door; it desires to have me, but I must rule over it" (Genesis 4:7 NIV).  Secondly,  I know many people have physical challenges, and I want to see them healed by administering the Word of Christ in faith.   But, I wasn't certain that God gave females power to do healing work since I am only aware of males in the Bible who healed the sick.  Well, Franciscus enlightened me with God's Word that the question is not male or female, but rather believer or non-believer:  There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:8, KJV);  And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name they shall cast out devils, they shall speak with new tongues, they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16;17-18, KJV).  So, Covid, "you meant to harm me, but God intended it for good, to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives" (Genesis 50:20).  I'm glad to have my smell and taste back, and I'm glad for the new learning God gave me.  Thank you, Franciscus, for following Jesus and doing the work of a believer to glorify Him.

Marilyn
