Edna is a lovely southern lady who I met at the local church we attend. She was walking with a cane and naturally I offered to pray for her. When we prayed, the pain in her back left her and she was instantly healed. She gave me a big hug and a kiss and thanked me and praised Jesus.
I saw her again a few weeks later again with her cane and asked her why she was still using the cane. She said that she had pain in her back again and needed her cane to be able to walk. I offered to pray for her again and she was healed once more.
Then I did not see her use her cane for a while and she said that she was fine and had not had any more pain.
However, this past Sunday, I saw her again at church and again with that silly cane. Now I was getting a bit agitated and while she and I were at the pastry table, I told her “I don’t want to see that cane again.” She immediately hugged me and said she was in pain again and asked me if I would please pray for her again?
“NO!” I said, “I am not going to pray for you! I am going to let you pray for yourself!” She looked a bit puzzled but agreed. “Are you ready?”, I asked her. “Yes, I am ready.”, she replied.
“Alright. Now put your hand on your back where it hurts.” I coached her. She put her hand on her back. “Now, repeat after me. Father, I love you. Jesus, thank you for paying for my healing. You paid full price by the stripes on your back and you deserve my full healing. And now, you spirit of infirmity, I command you to get out NOW! Back be completely healed and made whole in Jesus name.”
She repeated verbatim what I said and with the same force as I was commanding. I told her to do what she could not do before and to move her back around. She broke out in a big smile and said the pain was gone. She hugged me and kissed me again and was praising Jesus.
“Well, now you know what to do next time if you are attacked again. He is either going to give up or get tired real quick when you keep casting him out.”, I encouraged her.
Being healed by having hands laid on is wonderful. But being able to heal yourself is much better. This is the goal; to get healing from your Father direct yourself and not have to run to anyone else.
Afterall, it is the children’s bread and our inheritance.

LOVE this! It’s amazing how we have to train ourselves to ignore what the world says is “normal” and realize WHO is inside of us! I remember reading about Kenneth E. Hagin in a meeting and he couldn’t seem to get a person healed. Jesus showed up and Kenneth also saw a demon and asked Jesus if he was going to make it leave. Jesus said to Kenneth, “YOU do it!” I always remember that. Jesus has done his part. 🙂

Thank you, Juliet. Two great quotes by TL Osborn:
1. Never ask God to do what He has already done.
3. Never ask God to do what He told you to do.

Way to go, Gail! Stand on your inheritance and don’t let the enemy convince you otherwise.
