I popped into my local Aldi to pick up a few things and bumped into Sayeed and his elderly father who was walking with a cane.
I offered to pray for him to be healed and he did not understand what I was saying. So I approached his son Sayeed and he translated to his father who then accepted my offer.
Both his arm and his leg were in pain. I placed my hand on his arm and commanded the spirit of infirmity and pain to get out and return no more. I commanded his whole body healed head to toe.
I prayed in the name of Jesus.
After I prayed (commanded), I told him to move his arm. He said it felt much better but that his leg still hurt. So I bent down and laid my hand on his leg and commanded the same. When I told him to move his leg, he said it too felt much better.
I bragged on Jesus and told both of them that Isa al Masih (Jesus the Messiah), as the Qur’an calls Him, had healed him. Sayeed, the son put his hand on his own back and asked: “Can you pray for my back too?”
“Of course.” I responded. I laid my hand on his back and commanded the spirit of infirmity and pain to get out and stay out and told him to move it around and check it out. He did and said it was better but there was still a spot of pain left which he pointed out with his hand on it.
“Now keep your hand on there and repeat after me. In the name of Jesus …” I instructed him. He repeated: “In the name of … (pause) … Allah…” to which I said: “No, you have to use the name of Jesus or it won’t work. But you can also use the name of Isa which is the same.” So he said: “In the name of Isa…” I continued: “… you spirit of pain get out and stay out. I command my back to be healed.” He repeated what I said.
When he checked it out, all his back pain was gone instantly.
So I took the opportunity to enlighten him that the Qur’an points to Isa (Jesus).
Surah 3:45 – When the angels said: O Marium, surely Allah gives you good news with a Word from Him (of one) whose name is the Messiah [Al-Masih], Isa son of Marium, worthy of regard in this world and the hereafter and of those who are made near (to Allah).

Jesus Al-Masih in the Qur’an
Sayeed agreed and said he believes in that too but that the Qur’an is not the first or only book they go by. He said the order of importance of their holy bools are:
- the Tawrat (Torah or the Law of Moses in the Old Testament) revealed to Musa (Moses),
- the Zabur (Psalms) revealed to Dawud (David),
- the Injil (the Gospel of the New Testament) revealed to Isa (Jesus) and finally,
- The Qur’an.
He explained that the Qur’an comes after these 3 books and is number 4 on the list of importance in Islam.
The question that immediately arose in my mind, which I did not ask him, was: “Then how come all that Muslims ever read and talk about is the Qur’an and never any of these other books?”
“You taught me something. I never knew that.” I told him. So by their own confession, the Qur’an is the least in order of importance of these 4 books. All the more confirmation that Islam was founded to point to Jesus as their Messiah and the Christian Old and New Testaments as Islam’s foundation.
We also discussed, and he confirmed, that the word Allah simply means God. I explained to him that if you pick up an Arabic Christian Bible, it says in Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning, Allah created the heavens and the earth.”
It all depends on what you understand by the word “God”. Even Satan is called the god of this world. Try it in any translation program and translate Allah from Arabic to English and you will see. Here is Google Translate:
Sayeed then added that the Qur’an calls Jesus a prophet. I added: “That is true but he is the only one in the Qur’an who is called Al Masih or the Messiah of God, which Muhammed is not. Muhammed is called a prophet but never the Messiah. Only Jesus.” He seemed confused as to what the word Messiah meant so I explained that it means the anointed One of God. And that as the anointed One of God, Jesus was the Son of God.
I could see him recoil a bit because Muslims are taught that Allah has no son. The verses in the Qur’an that state “Those who believe that Allah has a son must be admonished since this is a monstrous blasphemy and falsehood (18:4-6)”, and “Allah has never begotten a son and there are no deities beside him (23:91)”, are not in the beginning of the writings of the Qur’an but were added later and most likely to overcome and prevent Muslims from accepting Jesus and leaving Islam for Christianity. It is actually a situation where the Qur’an contradicts itself as it does on many of its writings.
Muslims believe the Quran was verbally revealed to Muhammad by Allah through the angel Gabriel (Jibril) slowly but over a period of about 23 years. So the Qur’an was not written as it occurred or within a few years from occurrence like the Old and New Testaments were. It is more of a rewritten history much after the fact and most likely gleaned from the above mentioned books which they claim to prefer before the Qur’an as I learned from Sayeed.
So I explained that when Allah told Miriam (Mary) that she was going to have a son that she was confused and asked how can this be since I have no man had touched her, Allah is quoted as saying:
Surah 3:47 – She [Marium] said, ‘My Lord! How can I and whence shall I have a child while no man has yet touched me (in conjugal relationship)?’ (The Lord) said, ‘Such are the ways of Allâh, He creates what He will. When He decrees a thing He simply commands it, “Be” and it comes to be.’
Sayeed added that they believe that it was Allah who put the seed in Marium to conceive a son. So I added “If the seed came from Allah then it was His seed, and when He put it in Marium (Mary) to “create” and for her to conceive a son, then that confirms that Isa (Jesus) is God’s Son, right?”
Sayeed did not want to answer that question. Years of sacred cow Muslim teachings were being challenged and you could see the conflict arising in him.
In the meantime, his father had taken off and was walking all the way down the aisle. “Look at him go. He is taking off!”
“Sayeed, all I can say is that Jesus has proven Himself to be the Messiah by healing both you and your father and has set you free. Here is my card. Call me if you would like to discuss further anytime. I will be happy to get together with you for a cup of coffee to answer any questions you may have.”
He nodded his head in agreement, took my card and we parted ways as he went to catch up to his dad.
Please agree with me that God will help them both to open their ears that they may hear, open their eyes that they may see and to understand in their hearts and be converted that they may healed (Isaiah 6:9-10, Matthew 13:14-15). For Jesus said:
All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. John 6:37
Lord, you are not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9) and to the knowledge of Jesus Christ as their Savior (John 3:16-21). Father, draw them unto Jesus without which no man can come to Him unless You draw him (John 6:44). Holy Spirit, convict them of sin and of righteousness and of judgement. Of sin, because they believe not on Jesus, of righteousness, because He went to His Father and they see Him no more, and of judgement, because the prince of this world is judged (John 16:7-11). Give them no rest until they find it in Jesus. I hope to see them both again in heaven. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
PS: You can pray this same prayer for your unsaved loved ones.

Great testimony ! Thanks for sharing ! Yes!! There is nothing like healing to win Muslims to the Lord! « These signs shall follow…. » It’s a good thing that you understand their background so well ! And yes Muslims highly respect Isa Al- Masih / Jesus the Messiah !

Funny but that is how I see it too. All the years before learning how to heal people, I always had a problem with witnessing to people to try to get them to accept Jesus. I was doing it backwards. Jesus healed them first to prove the gospel. Once they are healed, they will pursue you to tell them about Jesus who just healed them.
