Well that was cool.  I just healed the pain in my foot instantly.  Here’s what happened.

We were out apple picking with the family and before we got to the orchard, we stopped into a farm store just to look around and see what they had to offer.

As I was moseying along looking at the fresh baked apple pies, homemade kettle corn and scented wax candles, I noticed a sudden sharp pain in my right foot as if I had misstepped.  You know, one of those annoying foot pains that comes out of nowhere and latches on to you for days, if not weeks.  

My first natural reaction was to avoid the pain and to walk on my foot differently to avoid the pain.  But no, not today!  Something of indignation rose up inside of me that said “Oh no you don’t!”

Almost instinctively, I lifted my foot up and hit it with my hand and commanded, “All pain get out NOW in Jesus name!”  Then I put my foot down, literally, with full weight on it and purposely started walking on it exactly where the pain had been.  I kept moving it around trying to look for the pain so I could push through it and knock it out.  But there was no need to because it had already left as fast as it came.

This was a double attack.  First, the physical attack and second, the mental attack to accept it and surrender to it.

Now imagine, what if I had accepted that pain instead?  What if I had acknowledged it and submitted to it?  What if i had surrendered to it and thought I had no choice in the matter?  What if I had taken that thought and tried to avoid putting weight on my foot?  I could have walked around with that pain for weeks.

But no, I did not accept it.  I did not want it.  I never asked for it.  It tried to force itself upon me and I would not let it.  I just said no.  Instead, I commanded it to go in Jesus’ name and it obeyed and went.

Such is our biblical divine right as sons of God.

Try it yourself next time and any time you are attacked because that is what is happening.  If an attacker came at you with a knife, would you allow yourself to be stabbed or would you defend yourself and fight back?  This is no different.  You have every right to defend yourself and fight back.

Jesus gave you the perfect weapon to beat the enemy with…His name.  He came for this purpose and was manifested to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8).  Therefore all power in heaven and on earth has been given to Him.  And He has delegated it to us.  To just like Him, destroy the works of the devil.
