FACT: Jesus paid for our sins with his blood on the cross.
Because of Jesus’ payment by sacrificing Himself for us, He paid the price that we owed for our sins, for us. He wasn’t just nailed to the cross for us, but in our place.
He took our sins upon Himself to make us free of them.

Another highly recommended book revealing that the gifts, or rather the “charisma” or literally “grace effects”, of the Holy Spirit, though heavily suppressed during the dark ages, have always been in operation.
These “grace effects” of having the Holy Spirit indwelling the believer are now coming to he forefront as believers take hold of the promise of the Father.

Many Christians today believe that only some are gifted to be able to exercise the “grace effects” of the Holy Spirit. Not so. Yes, there are people specially gifted and these are special gifts. But all true believers are commissioned to do the same works that Jesus did and greater.

At a flea market, a woman who was carrying a folded up walker was walking towards me. I just could not help myself to ask her, “Are you using that walker?”

It was a warm summer day and I was driving from one appointment to another for business. The way my GPS was sending me, meandered through a suburban neighborhood of small, one family homes with a decent size yard in front of each home.
I crossed over a road and casually looked to my left when I saw her. She was weeding her garden holding on to her walker. It struck me odd that an older woman with a handicap, would be out in the heat of the day, weeding her garden with her walker. As I pondered the scene, I kept driving and was about a block away when it hit me. I should stop to pray for her. After all, I had just started learning about being able to pray for people to heal them.

We were at the flea market with our team and bumped into Fermin.
He was walking very slowly with a cane. He was Spanish speaking but also spoke pretty good English. When we asked him what the condition was he said he was in severe back and neck pain. He could not even turn his head.
Margaret, one of our team members, had come for the first time to our outreach event. She had several health issues herself which we prayed for and she was set free of them all. She even received a vision correction to where she could suddenly read the signs posted in the office trailer window from a distance. My wife and I were at the mall with our daughter and son-in-law and baby grandson. Grandma had decided that she wanted to by a pair of shoes for our grandson.
As they were trying on just about every shoe in the store, I was pacing back and forth to the front of the store and back adain to see if they had finally made their selection. When I came back to the front and stood in the entrance door looking out on the mall traffic, I spotted a Muslim family strolling by on the other side. The mother was in the traditional Hijab and long black robe but she was struggling forth on a pair of crutches.
I crossed the walkway and approached the husband. With Muslims I never approach the wife first as that would be inappropriate. “Excuse me, sir.” I interrupted, “I noticed your wife’s crutches. Our local church was hosting a Summerfest picnic at Modick Park in Hopatcong, New Jersey as an outreach for the community.
It was a great event with live music bands, carnival games for the kids, food stands and of course a ministry table with lots of information. I manned the ministry table with a few other folks and we offered to pray for people and would give them bibles and information about the church.

Casey came to our home on a team meeting day to be prayed for. She was getting married next week and could not move her back or her neck. Not exactly how you want to go through your wedding day!

We were at the Goodwill Rescue Mission in Newark and had just concluded our ministry session. Many souls came to the Lord that night and we had a plentiful harvest.
I was cleaning up my music gear and started heading to the side door exit when I noticed a man walking noticeably crooked heading towards the backdoor of the room. He was literally leaning to the right as he walked.
“Hey, that’s not right!” I thought to myself. It reminded me of that part in the Lord’s prayer where Jesus says, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Nobody in heaven is walking crooked like that! It was a rainy overcast Saturday morning. All night it had rained, even with lightning and thunderstorms early in the morning. But we had scheduled an outing to the Meadowlands Flea Market and I was determined to go.
On the way it started pouring buckets. I commanded the rain to stop by the time I got there. It was relentless and actually started coming down even heavier. I looked up and said “That’s okay. I’ll give you some more time to do what you want as long as you stop by the time I get there.”
As I drove onto the parking lot of the flea market, the rain had died down to a drizzle. Thank you, Lord! Well, I was here but not many people were. From of old, people have always wondered what the spiritual world looks like.
We get an idea of this when we read the bible especially Isaiah, Ezekiel and Revelations. Heaven is described in colorful, majestic and glorious terms. Hell is also described as a fiery place with torment to its inhabitants. Lucifer is described as a beautiful angel of light. Demons are not really described at all, neither their origin nor their definition. However, their character and nature is described to us by Jesus.
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation. Matthew 12:43-45

The word demon and devil is used interchangeably in the bible and describes the same thing which are basically unclean spirits.

My wife and I were invited to come watch the fireworks over the lake at our friends’ house for the fourth of July. It turned out to be a fellowship of believers of a local church we attend.
We came to find out that unfortunately the fireworks were canceled due to the weather conditions. Thunder and lightning storms were in the forecast and sure enough, as we sat on the porch enjoying the vista of the lake, it started pouring and we all quickly retreated indoors.
My wife was chatting up a storm inside with some of the women and I just happened to be standing by two other ladies I had never met before, Gayle and Elizabeth. We started talking about dogs and cats and showing each other pictures of our pets. Then we switched to discussing different religions when Gayle asked if we could sit down because her back was hurting her. Anand, one of our team members, called me on a Monday and asked me if he could bring over his neighbor and parents for healing. He explained that they were Jains who practice Jainism, a religion that to us appears similar to Hinduism but yet is very different and quite popular in India. I told him that would be fine and he brought them over the next day.
They were extremely nice and polite people and we had a wonderful time in conversation. However, after talking a bit, I noticed that the mother was restless and in discomfort. Edna is a lovely southern lady who I met at the local church we attend. She was walking with a cane and naturally I offered to pray for her. When we prayed, the pain in her back left her and she was instantly healed. She gave me a big hug and a kiss and thanked me and praised Jesus.
I saw her again a few weeks later again with her cane and asked her why she was still using the cane. She said that she had pain in her back again and needed her cane to be able to walk. I offered to pray for her again and she was healed once more.
Then I did not see her use her cane for a while and she said that she was fine and had not had any more pain.

Well, Charles was so thrilled with being healed that he brought three of his neighbors with him the next week. They said that Charles was dancing in front of them to show them that he had been healed and that he had not been able to do that before.
The first woman I prayed for received a new baptism in the Holy Ghost and received the gift of speaking in tongues.

Charlie was brought to our house meeting as a guest. He was very pleasant and inquisitive with questions like “Are you saying that we have no need for doctors?” and “Well, what about Paul’s thorn in the flesh?” and “Are you saying that all sickness comes from demons?”. No arguments, just healthy curiosity about these sacred cows he had been raised with.
We patiently answered all his questions and explained that like sacred cows, these were all doctrines of men that he had learned as the commandments of men. When it came time for prayer, he was noticeably silent.
