The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. Luke 4:18-19 (fulfilling Isaiah 61:1-2a)
Together with Jesus, and in His name, I declare unto you:
…This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. Luke 4:21
Now before any Pharisees out there want to throw me off a cliff, let me explain.
Just as the Father had anointed Jesus to do all of these things, so has He today anointed you and me, as believers and disciples of Jesus Christ, and baptized in the Holy Spirit, to do the same. Let me prove it to you from scripture. Continue reading This Day Is This Scripture Fulfilled In Your Ears

My wife and I were at the mall with our daughter and son-in-law and baby grandson. Grandma had decided that she wanted to by a pair of shoes for our grandson.

It was a great event with live music bands, carnival games for the kids, food stands and of course a ministry table with lots of information. I manned the ministry table with a few other folks and we offered to pray for people and would give them bibles and information about the church.
Casey came to our home on a team meeting day to be prayed for. She was getting married next week and could not move her back or her neck. Not exactly how you want to go through your wedding day!
If someone asks you to pray for them, what is your first reaction?
After ministering music to the folks at the Dover Mission, one of the workers came to get me, saying that one of the guys needed prayer for healing for pain in his back and hips.
We were at the Goodwill Rescue Mission in Newark and had just concluded our ministry session. Many souls came to the Lord that night and we had a plentiful harvest.
We were at the flea market with Anand, one of our team members, and came across a lady in a wheelchair.
On the way it started pouring buckets. I commanded the rain to stop by the time I got there. It was relentless and actually started coming down even heavier. I looked up and said “That’s okay. I’ll give you some more time to do what you want as long as you stop by the time I get there.”
Today I would like to share with you an excellent book from the ministry of Andy Hayner. Andy has his own ministry called Full Speed Impact Ministries and he is also a fellow Life Team Servant with John G. Lake Ministries.
Anand, one of our team members, called me on a Monday and asked me if he could bring over his neighbor and parents for healing. He explained that they were Jains who practice Jainism, a religion that to us appears similar to Hinduism but yet is very different and quite popular in India. I told him that would be fine and he brought them over the next day.
I needed to pick up just a few things at the grocery store. When I came out of one of the aisles, I bumped into a man who was riding in a motorized shopping cart. I always look to see if there’s a walking cane in the basket and sure enough, there was.
Edna is a lovely southern lady who I met at the local church we attend. She was walking with a cane and naturally I offered to pray for her. When we prayed, the pain in her back left her and she was instantly healed. She gave me a big hug and a kiss and thanked me and praised Jesus.
Well, Charles was so thrilled with being healed that he brought three of his neighbors with him the next week. They said that Charles was dancing in front of them to show them that he had been healed and that he had not been able to do that before.
Charlie was brought to our house meeting as a guest. He was very pleasant and inquisitive with questions like “Are you saying that we have no need for doctors?” and “Well, what about Paul’s thorn in the flesh?” and “Are you saying that all sickness comes from demons?”. No arguments, just healthy curiosity about these sacred cows he had been raised with.
On the 14th of May, Fort Dix Air Force Base in New Jersey held its annual air show called Power in the Pines. The “Pines” referring to the New Jersey Pine Barrens that surround the area. The “Power” obviously referring to the air power of the many fighter jets and aerial combat equipment on display that day.
Andrew, a brand new Team Member, whom I had never met before but only over the phone, met us for one of our outreach outings at Willowbrook Mall. He told us that he had never seen an actual healing before and that he had prayed for people but had never seen an instant healing. As we walked around the mall he witnessed several instant healings take place by the other team members.
After ministering music to the men at the Goodwill Rescue Mission and after packing up my stuff, before leaving, I decided to reach out to the guys directly and just sit down and talk with them.
We were out apple picking with the family and before we got to the orchard, we stopped into a farm store just to look around and see what they had to offer.
As a son of God, you have a lot of privileges. But they come with responsibilities.
“Somebody changed the Ten Commandments? Impossible!”
What’s the difference? A whole world of difference!
So you were prayed for and were healed of your pain. Or, you prayed for yourself and the pain left you. You believed that you were healed.
A woman was walking with difficulty with a cane. I approached her and said: “Excuse me. I noticed your cane. I’m a minister and I pray for people and God heals them. Can I pray for you?”
